Chandler E. Rossi

Founder & Lead Lab Specialist

I started Pilates Laboratory because I wanted to create the kind of space I couldn’t find anywhere else — one that honors the roots of classical Pilates, but also adapts and evolves with the way we live and move today. My goal has always been to make movement feel intelligent, thoughtful, and personal — something that makes sense in your body and builds real strength over time.

Before I taught Pilates, I worked in finance. I didn’t love it, but I kept going because I thought I should — like a lot of people, I didn’t know exactly what I wanted, just that there had to be something more. Eventually, I left my full-time job and started down the path toward physical therapy. I’d dealt with injuries for years from soccer and running, and I was looking for answers — both for myself and for others.

That’s when I found the reformer. I had always loved mat Pilates, but working with the equipment gave me a new level of understanding and awareness in my own body. I spent over a year taking classes consistently — three times a week, sometimes more — before beginning my certification. That consistency helped me experience firsthand how powerful this work can be when you commit to it.

I’m comprehensively certified through Balanced Body in all Pilates apparatus (Mat, Reformer, Chair, Tower, Barrel, and Trapeze Table) and also hold a NASM personal training certification. My teaching is influenced by my background in athletics, rehab, and a genuine interest in anatomy, physiology, and how the body works.

Pilates Laboratory is rooted in that same philosophy: we move with purpose. We train hard, but we train smart. I care deeply about the people who walk through the studio doors — and it’s my priority that this space always feels welcoming, challenging, and honest. Whether you're brand new or years into your practice, my goal is to help you move better, feel stronger, and build a deeper connection to your body.
