Policy & Studio Etiquette

Policy Agreements

Grip Sock Policy

For the safety and sanitation of all clients, grip socks are highly suggested during all reformer and studio sessions. Due to past experiences with staining on our white leather reformers, only grip socks from Pointe Studio and Lucky Honey are permitted for use in the studio. No outside brands will be allowed, and this policy is strictly enforced. If you choose not to purchase grip socks from the studio, a reformer mat will be provided for your use. We appreciate your understanding in maintaining the cleanliness and quality of our equipment.

Class Attendance & Resulting Changes

Your class reservation is important to us, but please note that attending with only one client signed up may be subject to cancellation at the instructor's discretion. We aim to provide a group class experience, and single sign-ups may require rescheduling or cancellation. If your class is canceled, you will be notified in advance, and any class credits will be returned to your account for future use.

Late Arrival Policy

To ensure a smooth and uninterrupted class experience, the door to the studio will be locked 5 minutes after the start of class. If you are more than 5 minutes late, you will not be allowed entry to the class. This policy ensures that those already attending the class can focus on their workout without distractions. Please plan your arrival accordingly, as latecomers will not be accommodated after the door has locked.

Booking Policy

Classes must be booked in advance through our online scheduling system. Walk-ins are NOT permitted, as openings are subject to availability.

Cancellation Policy

Clients must cancel class reservations AT LEAST 24 hours prior to start time to avoid forfeiting of class credit. Late cancellations or no-shows will result in the loss of a class credit or incur a cancellation fee.

No-Show Policy

Not showing up for a registered class will result in the loss of the class credit AND a $15 ‘NO SHOW FEE’. This policy is in place to ensure availability for other clients and respect the time of our instructors and staff.

The fee will be charged to the payment method on file, and clients with outstanding balances will be required to settle the fee before booking future classes.

Waitlist Policy

If a class is full, you may add yourself to the waitlist. If a spot becomes available, you will be automatically enrolled in the class and notified via email or SMS. If you can no longer attend, please remove yourself from the waitlist to avoid automatic enrollment.

Membership & Package Expiration

  • All class packages and memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.

  • Class packages may have expiration dates (e.g., 5-class packages expire within 60 days). Be sure to use your class credits before they expire, as unused credits will not roll over.

  • Memberships that include a specific number of classes per month reset at the start of each month. Unused classes do not roll over to the following month.

Health & Safety Policy

Clients must complete a health waiver and disclose any injuries or health conditions before participating in classes. This ensures instructors are aware and can offer appropriate modifications. If you are feeling unwell or have any symptoms of illness, please refrain from attending class for the safety of our clients and staff.

Liability Waiver

By attending Pilates Laboratory, you acknowledge and agree that you are participating at your own risk and release Pilates Laboratory from any liability related to injury, illness, or damage to personal property during classes.

Instructor Substitution

Instructors are subject to change, and Pilates Laboratory reserves the right to substitute instructors without prior notice. We strive to provide a consistent experience but cannot guarantee the same instructor for all classes.

Studio Etiquette

Clients are expected to respect studio space and fellow participants by maintaining appropriate behavior, cleaning equipment after use, and limiting distractions such as cell phones during class.

Refund Policy

All sales are final. Pilates Laboratory does not offer refunds for class packages, memberships, or retail items unless an error was made during the transaction. In certain situations, account credits may be issued at the studio’s discretion.

Inclement Weather Policy

At Pilates Laboratory, the safety of our clients and instructors is a top priority. In the event of inclement weather:

  • Clients will be notified of any class cancellations via email and text as soon as a decision is made.

  • If the studio remains open, clients are encouraged to use their best judgment when traveling to the studio.

  • Canceled classes due to weather will not count against your membership or class credits and may be rescheduled.

Studio Etiquette

Arrive With Time To Spare!

We get it — traffic happens. But arriving 5–10 minutes early lets you settle in, connect with your instructor, and avoid the awkward mid-class entrance (and trust us, everyone does notice). If you’re late and class has already started, we may not be able to hold your reformer. We promise it’s not personal — it’s just respect for everyone’s flow.

Grip Socks! (Only PL Approved)

Not optional, not negotiable, and not the time to express your barefoot freedom.
We keep things sanitary, safe, and stylish — which is why only grip socks sold in the studio are approved for use (our reformers thank you).

Silence The Outside World

Phones on silent. Apple Watches off. This is your hour to disconnect, breathe, and move. No texts, no notifications. The only vibration in this room should come from your core.

Clean Up Like You Mean It!

After class, please wipe down your reformer — handles, straps, rails, and the well.
Hair, lint, and sweat love to linger — we don’t. Let’s keep our space as fresh as our playlists.

Respect The Equipment

Every reformer is handcrafted, calibrated, and treated like art around here.
Don’t drop the props, yank the straps, or move the gear unless instructed. And always, always lock your footbar.

Mind The Vibe

We’re all about community, not competition. Cheer each other on, stay in your lane, and remember: it’s not that deep — but it is that intentional.

Keep It Personal (But Professional)

We love when you bring your personality to class — your stories, your laugh, your energy. Just keep it kind, keep it classy, and keep your reformer sweat-free before the next client hops on.

Trust The Process

We design every class to challenge, teach, and evolve your practice. You’ll never take the same class twice — and that’s the point. Stay open, stay curious, and let the work work.

The Golden Rule

Be kind always.

By attending classes at Pilates Laboratory, you agree to abide by these terms and policies. These guidelines are in place to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and professional experience for all clients. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding!
